One of the newer neighborhoods in Orlando, Lake Nona is one
of the premier locations in the country.
Known as one of the most advanced and elite places in all of Florida,
Lake Nona has commonly been referred to as a huge sign of things to come. In the year 2000, the area was home to 1,500
people. In 2010, 50,000 called Lake Nona
home, and by 2020 its estimated that the neighborhood may be home to over
100,000 residents.
A large part of the reason for the surge in popularity of
Lake Nona is the rise of Medical City, a world renown medical

and a championship golf course that regularly plays host to USGA Tournaments.
Adding additional prestige to the area, the United States
Tennis Association(USTA) also has its national campus in Lake Nona as well, a
state of the art facility with a sports and performance institute and over 100
tournament level tennis courts.
This year is set to see a new training center in Lake Nona
for the Orlando City, the MLS Soccer team, and there is also Luxury Resort set
to open.
Needless to say, there’s a lot going on in Lake Nona, and
the Real Estate market has definitely not been left behind. Virtually every type of property can be found
in Lake Nona. There are plans for an
upcoming(also this year) 11 story building, home to over 1100 MICRO-apartments,
from 250 square feet up to 1,800. There’s
also several million dollar neighborhoods.
On the outskirts, you may be able to find land, although the land is of
course in demand, and prices are rising quite significantly. The majority of the housing you will find
will be new home developments, reflecting the upscale nature of the
neighborhood.
Lake Nona Town Square is also home to several world class
fine dining and entertainment establishments as well.
In addition to all of the great things to love about Lake
Nona, it is only minutes away from the Orlando International Airport, which is
one of the reasons for all of these great medical and athletic establishments.
