This is such a special time of year, with family coming in from all over, all kinds of company parties, get togethers, special events, this is truly a special time.
One of the great things our hardworking Police officers do during this special time of year is put out "burglar boxes." Here's why, and what it is:
Let's say you get that nice new big screen tv. Congrats. Now what do you do with the box? You take it out to your curb, and place it there, for it to be taken away with the trash. What happens next can be very dangerous. Burglars, looking to pull in a nice haul, drive by your house...see that big box, and now now that you have some new stuff in your home. You've now made yourself a target. Scary, right?
Thankfully, our Law Enforcement has stepped up with "Burglar Boxes." Instead of taking that box to your curb, you can drop it off at a number of local dumpsters, set in place in a number of locations specifically to make sure you are not a target. The addresses of these Burglar Boxes are:
